THE SEED PROJECT

The SEED (Sustainable Environmental Education for Development) Project aims to raise awareness about current environmental challenges and to inspire young people to lead pro-environmental changes in their communities.

SEED offers centre-based programs and supports the initiation of eco-clubs in rural schools to educate young minds about environmental challenges and how they can contribute to global environmental protection through local actions. The project offers 3-5-day centre-based programs with outdoor-based activities. The project's mission is to inform, engage, and inspire the youth to become the future stewards of our planet through education and environmental awareness.

Namibian SEED Project Students

The SEED Project was established in 2022 to address the limited access to environmental education in the rural primary schools in Namibia. The project covers topics such as climate change, environmental stewardship, water conservation, and elephant conservation, aligning with the national school curriculum.

VISION & MISSION

Our mission is to inform, engage and inspire youth with strong interests to take up the responsibility to be good stewards of their environments because we believe that:

“Today’s young people will be the stewards of our planet in the years to come, and the future of all life depends on them gaining the knowledge, skills and passion for nature necessary to transform humanity’s relationship with the natural world and build a more sustainable future.’’
